Xiao-Yu Wang
Xiaoyu is an undergraduate student in the School of Mathematics at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Prior to that, he also spent one year in School of Physics and a half year in Department of Statistics and Finance. He will graduate in June, 2025.
He is mainly interested in probability theory, and its intersection with mathematical physics, combinatorics and partial differential equations.
He ranks 1st in School of Mathematics at USTC.
He is currently a visiting student at New York University, Shanghai.

Research Interest
He is mainly interested in probability theory, and its intersection with mathematical physics, especially lattice models in statistical mechanics.
Xiao-Yu is interested in Ginzburg-Landau fields, which is a kind of random height functions on lattices, and can be seen as a generalization of discrete Gaussian free field. It has a deep connection with homogenization problem in partial differential equations.
Besides, Xiao-Yu is also interested in six vertex models and some other lattice models in statistical mechanics.
He has also learned some other topics, like percolation, random walks, quantitative homogenization in PDE.
